About this 3 Day First Aid course:

This 3 day First Aid at Work training course is designed to provide you with comprehensive first aid knowledge to deal with a wide range of workplace accidents and illnesses.

This course is ideal if your first aid risk assessment has identified the need to provide workplace first aiders that are trained to the highest standard.

The course:

This 3 day First Aid at Work training course will enable you, the learner, to have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide prompt, safe and effective treatment to casualties in the workplace. As a Ofqual Regulated Qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards, you can be sure to receive the highest standard of first aid training.

This course is taught using a range of both practical and theoretical activities, along with the latest training equipment. From completing the course, you will be able to take away vital information to use in the future.

  • Managing an unresponsive casualty
  • Resuscitation CPR for adults, children and Baby

  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Chest injuries
  • Wounds and bleeding

Duration and times:

A minimum of 18 contact hours is required over 3 days, but can be split over a maximum of 10 weeks for flexibility.

The course can be arranged to suit individual workplace needs and we are happy to provide first aid training courses during a time to suit you – be that daytime, weekend, nights or evenings.

Course assessment, certification and re-qualification:

Assessment is an ongoing process and carried out throughout the course. A 20 question paper is taken at the end of day 1 and a 25 question paper is taken at the end of day 3, both with multiple choice answers. A comprehensive first aid course manual is issued to all students along with additional hand-outs when applicable.

Successful completion will mean you receiving a QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) certificate, valid for 3 years. An annual first aid training course refresher is strongly recommended to keep skills refreshed and up to date.

Renewal of this certificate is to take a 2 day (FAW) re-qualification training course at the end of 3 years. If a certificate expires and the re-qualification training course is not taken within 28 days, the full 3 day course would usually need to be taken instead however.

This training course can accommodate a maximum of 12 attendees, and all learners must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Very Important:

Photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence, MUST be seen by the instructor on arrival for all Ofqual regulated Qualifications before the course starts.

Each student MUST be able to demonstrate full CPR by kneeling on the floor at least once.
