Struggling to remember some of those key aspects of your previous first aid training?
Our First Aid annual refresher training course is a great way to keep your current first aid skills up to scratch.
As a workplace first aider, you must be able to treat any accident and illness immediately – undertaking a first aid refresher training annual can help maintain your abilities.
Why First Aid annual refresher training?
First Aid annual refresher training is designed to keep current workplace first aiders up to date with their basic first aid knowledge. This training is suitable for both Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW) trained staff as long as they have a current valid workplace first aid qualification.
Please note: Annual first aid refresher training is not a substitute for a certificated and approved workplace first aid course.
This First Aid annual refresher training course will enable you as the learner to refresh the necessary skills and knowledge to provide treatment to casualties in your workplace in a prompt, safe and effective manner and keep up-to-date with any legislation changes.
Subjects that will be covered include:
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Recovery position
- Wounds and bleeding
- Managing a casualty in shock
The course takes only 4 hours and the time can be arranged to suit your individual workplace needs, including during the day, evenings, at night or weekends.
Assessment and certification and re-qualification:
First Aid annual refresher training is assessed throughout the course, and you will be provided with useful hand-outs to help you along the way where needed.
Successful completion will lead to a First Aid at Work Annual Refresher (QAR) certificate.
This course can accommodate a maximum of 12 students and all learners must be a minimum of 14 years of age.
